How it works

Three steps from a website address to a reviewed report.

Observe IQ fits into the checks your team already performs, and removes the repetitive part of them.

  1. 1

    Scan

Enter a website address or upload a policy PDF.

Choose the jurisdiction and rulesets to apply, then point Observe IQ at the pages that matter most: product pages, quote journeys and disclosure pages.

  2. 2

    Review

See potential risks prioritised as critical, warning or passed.

Every finding shows the affected wording, the rule it relates to and why it was flagged, so your team can triage quickly.

  3. 3

    Improve and monitor

Review suggested changes, export the report and receive alerts when something changes.

Share reports with marketing, legal and digital teams, then let scheduled scans and source monitoring tell you when to look again.

One workspace for every website and document you monitor

Track scan progress, compare risk scores between runs and keep every report in one place. Scans can be run on demand or scheduled, and results stay available for export while your subscription is active.

Detailed findings

See exactly what needs attention.

Observe IQ provides more than a score. Each finding shows the affected content, explains the potential risk and provides a practical suggested improvement.

  • Relevant framework and rule reference
  • Severity: critical, warning or passed
  • The exact wording that triggered the finding
  • A plain-English reason for the finding
  • Suggested replacement wording
  • A link to the primary source

Suitability implied without a demands and needs statement

/travel-insurance/single-trip

Offending text

Our travel cover is perfect for everyone travelling abroad this year — you're fully protected whatever happens.

Why this was flagged

The wording implies a personal recommendation and complete protection on a non-advised journey. No demands and needs statement is present on the page, and the phrase “fully protected” may overstate the cover provided once exclusions and limits are applied.

Suggested wording

This policy is designed for travellers who want cover for emergency medical costs, cancellation and baggage. It is sold without a personal recommendation. Please read the Insurance Product Information Document and policy wording to confirm the cover meets your demands and needs.

  • Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT.
  • A scan is one run against one website, or one uploaded document.

  • Available rules depend on the selected jurisdiction and subscription.
  • Plans can be changed or cancelled at any time and take effect from the next billing date.

FAQ

Questions compliance teams ask first.

Does Observe IQ guarantee that my website is compliant?

No. Observe IQ identifies potential compliance risks in the content it scans and shows you the rule each finding relates to. It does not certify or guarantee compliance, and it cannot see everything a regulator might consider. Findings should be reviewed by an appropriately qualified person before you act on them.

Which frameworks does it check?

Selected requirements from FCA rules including ICOBS and the Consumer Duty, the Insurance Distribution Directive, the Insurance Product Information Document format, GDPR and UK GDPR, and Italian insurance and privacy requirements. You choose which rulesets to apply to each website or document, and the available rules depend on your selected jurisdiction and subscription.

What counts as one scan?

One scan is a single run against one website, or one uploaded document. Re-running a scan after making changes uses another scan from your monthly allowance.

How many pages are scanned?

Each plan has a page limit per scan: 12 pages on the free scan, 25 on Starter, 75 on Growth and 150 on Agency. You can tell Observe IQ which sections matter most, such as product pages, quote journeys and disclosure pages, and pages above the limit are queued for the next scan.

Can I upload an IPID?

Yes. You can upload an Insurance Product Information Document, policy wording or other policy PDF. Observe IQ checks the content and the expected structure, including whether the standardised sections can be identified.

Are uploaded documents stored?

Uploaded documents are stored so you can revisit a report and compare versions over time. You can delete a document or a whole scan at any point, and deletion removes the stored file and its extracted text. Retention periods and sub-processors are set out in our data processing and security information.

Is customer data used to train AI models?

No. Your website content, uploaded documents and findings are not used to train AI models, and we do not permit our sub-processors to use them for model training. Language models are used to generate suggested wording and are given only the content needed to produce that suggestion.

How often are regulatory sources monitored?

Monitoring runs on a schedule that depends on your plan: weekly on Starter, and daily on Growth and Agency. Each run records what was checked and what changed, so you can see the history for every source.

Can I review proposed rule changes?

Yes, and this is the default. When Observe IQ detects a relevant change at a monitored source it prepares a proposed rule update and holds it for review. Nothing is applied to your ruleset until someone in your team approves it, unless you explicitly enable automatic activation.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Plans are monthly unless you choose annual billing, and you can cancel from your account settings at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your reports stay available for export until then.

Is Observe IQ legal advice?

No. Observe IQ is a compliance-support tool. It does not provide legal or regulatory advice, and no lawyer-client or adviser relationship is created by using it. Results should be reviewed by an appropriately qualified person within your business or by your professional advisers.
